Edwardian Walnut 2 Section Fall Front Jewellery Cabinet
Beautiful quality, Edwardian Walnut fall front jewellery cabinet with lift up mirrored lid. Dating to around 1906.

The lockable fall front frame and top inner section is lined with the original green tufted silk. The handles to either side and front section are mounted on pierced brass plates, the lock and mounts are also brass. Comes with its key and locks securely. The shield has not been engraved.

The lid holds an original rectangular bevelled mirror.

In excellent overall condition, with little age commensurate wear. The silk lining to the bottom could do with a clean though and one of the chain holders has frayed only a little.

No manufacturers label only a registration number: 251067.

Measures approx:

14" tall x 14 wide x 5 1/4" deep.



A very good quality cabinet, rare to find in such fine condition.

A fine pair of William IV brass lustres with detachable nozzles.

Dating to c.1830.

Each has a total of eight cut glass prisms hanging from a brass rose.

With spreading circular bases and sunburst decroation to the stems.

In very nice condition overall.

Each stands 8" tall. 20cm.

Rare Rockingham Floral Encrusted Scent Bottle - c.1830
Beautiful and very rare Rockingham flower encrusted scent bottle with a yellow rose styled stopper. Dating to c.1830-42.

The flowers hand painted with enamels and gilt encircling tendrils.

There is a similar piece in this years Millers Antiques, smaller than this one at 10cm tall, with a guide price of 810 - 900!

In good condition, there has been a fair amount of now old, but well executed restoration, particularly as to be expected to the flowers, leaves and stopper, perfection is not to be expected in a piece of this age and delicate nature! No cracks and only the odd tiny chip to the flower petals and leaves. This piece has been much loved and cared for.

Fully marked to the base with a puce printed griffin mark.

Measures approx:

12cm tall.

A lovely and very rare, collectable piece, also very decorative indeed.

Very Rare Bloor Derby Dessert Plate Duck Shooting By Daniel Lucas c.1820
Extremely Rare Bloor Derby Shaped edge dessert plate with a deep cobalt and finely gilded border and central hand painted panel, c.1820.

Entitled Duck Shooting.

This piece was painted by the Derby painter Daniel Lucas, famous for his skill at painting landscapes.

The central panel contains a man and his dogs out shooting ducks with a rural landscape to the background.

This piece has been broken and restored, this is diffucult to see from the front of the plate. No gilt loss, and the central panel has no paint loss. Fine crazing as would be expected in a piece of this age.

Fully marked to the base with the crown within the outer Bloor Derby circle, and Duck Shooting written in red.

Measures approx: 8 3/4". 22cm.

Decorative Arts / Art Nouveau WMF Claret Jug c.1905
Beautiful Art Nouveau WMF Silver Plate Claret Jug.

Dating to c.1905.

With a long mounted neck in relief with dentils, curves and angular lines with a pierced finial and hinged lid. The bottle is flattened to the front and back to give a very unusual shape. Decorated in a style similar to Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

In excellent condition, although there is a chip to the glass, about the size of a penny, to the lower right of the handle on the side. The silver plate is not worn at all. There have been no repairs.

Fully marked to the base of the handle with WMF, EP, 1/0 as.

Measures approx:

26cm tall. 10 1/4" .

A lovely jug, very rare piece also very decorative indeed.

Tunbridgeware Glove Box C. 1870
A Beautiful Victorian rosewood and Tunbridgware Rectangular glove box, dating to c.1870.

The lid with a geometric border and central floral panel. The base of the box with an all round floral border.

The lid has brass hinges set into the back of the box which are in fine working order.

The inside is lined with patterned paper. There is a lock to the front, but no key.

In fine condition with no loss of the Tunbridgware at all. The box has a lovely patina.

Measures approx: 26cm long x 9cm wide x 6.5cm deep.

Pair Shimazu Satsuma Miniature Vases Meiji Period
Beautifully decorated pair of Shimazu Satsuma vases.

Dating to the Meiji period 1868-1911.
Hand decorated in an all over floral design and signed to the base of each vase.

In excellent condition with only very minor wear to the gilding.

Each measures only 3 1/4" tall. 8cm.

Andrew F Affleck - Etching - Chapel at Rue - France
ANDREW F AFFLECK (British 1869 - 1935)


Affleck was a Scottish painter and etcher born in Ayr who specialised in architectural subjects. Ranked with Hedley Fitton and Axel Haig he also produced a few landscape and topographical scenes. He settled in London having spent a lot of time travelling extensively and living for long periods in England, Belgium, France and Spain. Affleck etched many views in England, Holland, Italy, Belgium, and in America. Around 1910 Affleck moved permanently to France and some of his finest art deals with French buildings and their interiors. He exhibited at the RSA and RA between 1904 and 1923.


Today, the largest collections of Affleck's original etchings are housed in the British Museum, London.


Signed to the bottom right hand border in pencil. Also a label to the back stating name of the chapel and artist.

In excellent and clean condition. No repairs or damage.

Framed in original dark wood frame, also in good condition, but could do with sanding and re-varnishing though.

Etching only: 18 1/2" x 14". 45cm x 35cm.

Including Frame: 27" x 21 1/2". 68cm x 55cm.


A sound investment piece by a collected artist who is always in demand.

Royal Crown Derby Imari 2451 Part Tea Set Service 1912
Beautiful Royal Crown Derby porcelain Imari part tea service for six, dating from 1912.

In the much collected 2451 traditional Imari pattern.

There are 18 pieces to this service, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 side plate.

Decorated with the traditional Imari pallet of iron red, cobalt blue and gold in a symmetrical floral pattern.

The whole set is in beautiful condition, absolutely no cracks or crazing or damage. The gild has very minor wear. These pieces have been kept in a cabinet since the day they were bought and never used I would guess. They look brand new!

Each piece is marked to the base.

Cup:

5cm tall x 8.5cm in diam.

Saucer:

13cm in diam.

Side Plate:

16cm in diam.

Rare Early Derby Shaped Oval Dish in Sepia c.1815
A very rare Derby lobed ovoid plate with gilt rim and band of scrolling foliage.

Dating to c.1815.

The central hand painted panel in sepia contains a view of an abbey ruin, trees and foliage.

In fine condition, with no damage or restoration. No gilt or paint loss. Fine crazing as would be expected in a piece of this age.

Fully marked to the base with the D under crossed batons and crown. Also the gilders number 24.

Measures approx: 12" x 10". 30cm x 26cm.
